Education Department

Education Internship

Participate in one of Actors’ fastest growing departments! Work with the education staff to be a teaching artist in the classroom and community centers. Learn to develop curriculum as well some administrative duties. Conduct research and work with the Literary Department to compose the season’s Study Guides. Assist with professional development, tours and other functions of the theatre. For further information regarding Actors Educational programming, please visit the Education Page.

What Jeff and Julie say:

Our education internship this year has been just as challenging as it has been rewarding.  We have had the opportunity to speak face to face with nearly 10,000 students as ambassadors to Actors Theatre.  When we’re not teaching workshops, hosting student matinees, or developing classroom curriculum, we can usually be found writing play study guides, coordinating Actors Education events, or guiding tour groups through the theatre (unless, of course, we’re directing student-written world premieres, creating interactive lobby displays or moderating guest artist panels)

…which is not to say we don’t have time for a few laughs.  Check out our resumes to see how much fun we’ve been having!
